Portraits

Another work day done! We were busy today, so I assume tomorrow will look about the same. I thought I would post before I go see my sister. :) I'm adding two works together because I worked on them simultaneously. I wanted to see how using diluted acrylic paint reacted on a regular surface vs. using torn separated paper. I liked both outcomes. They made really interesting affects on both surfaces. I feel it helps give a sense of the past to the works, which goes back to my intentions of my concept.

The first work is untitled(grandma1), medium is acrylic and paper on canvas, and size is 20"x24." The second is also untitled(grandma2), acrylic on canvas, and the size is 24"x30." They were both completed in 2010.
